250W Conduction Cooled, 550W Fan Cooled PSU in 3x5" package
FiDUS Power announces the introduction of the WLC550 and MWLC550 series of IT and Medically approved flexibly cooled power supplies.
Conduction cooled via a baseplate, convection or fan cooled, the WLC series enables system designers the ability to manage heat generated in the system effectively and so increasing product lifetime.
Using a two-level PCB construction, the WLC has a baseplate with all key semiconductors attached, allowing direct cooling into system chassis, heatsink or coldwall.
It can deliver 250W conduction cooled and 550W fan cooled in a very compact 3x5” package. With efficiencies to 92% and the ability to remove heat to the outside world, minimal waste-heat is generated into the system and keeping internal ambient temperature rise to a minimum.
The nature of the product allows its use in a wide range of applications where heat removal is critical and high reliability are key requirements in a cost-effective solution. Such as in broadcast, outdoor communications, medical devices, sealed enclosure and industrial applications.
The series have a 90-264VAC input and output models from 12 to 58VDC with a built in 12V fan rail. Both series meet EN55022 level B and the MWLC550 also meets medical 4th Edition EMC levels. The WLC550 is certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA60950-1. The MWLC550 is certified to IEC/EN/CSA60601-1 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1. Samples are on short lead-times and all models are backed by a FiDUS 5 year warranty.
