New medical plug-top power supplies help healthcare system designers stay compliant and under budget
FiDUS Power today announces 2 new additions to its range of medical grade power supplies. The MPA12 and MPA20 are plug-top style, external AC-DC power supplies offering a wide range of output voltage options at 12W and 20W respectively.
The units offer designers of healthcare and professional electronics equipment a simple and cost-effective route to compliance. For medical applications the MPA series meets the latest medical standards and provides two means of patient protection (MOPP). For non-medical applications, the MPA12 series is also approved to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 & 62368 safety standards and meets Level VI/Tier 2/ErP Stage 2 global efficiency requirements.
The MPA range suits global applications, accepting input voltages of 90-264VAC without any derating and offering a wide selection of interchangeable input plugs.
Both the MPA12 and MPA20 are available at favourable prices in comparison to existing options in the market, so will help designers in cost-sensitive spaces who still need to maintain high quality and high reliability. The high efficiency and low no-load input power offered by the MPA series will help keep your end-customers’ running costs down too.
For ease of EMC compliance, all models perform to level B EMC limits (conducted and radiated) and are compliant with the new IEC 60601-1-2 4th edition requirements. All units also come with an impressive 5-year warranty.
